National Evangelical Synod Launches First Books in “Reformed Theology in the Middle East” Series with a Celebratory Event in Rabieh
The Media and Publishing Committee of the National Evangelical Synod of Syria and Lebanon launched the first two books in the series “Reformed Theology in the Middle East,” written by the Synod’s Theological Committee. The event took place on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 4:00 PM in the auditorium of Beirut Evangelical School for Girls and Boys in Rabieh.
The ceremony was attended by the Head of the Supreme Council of the Evangelical Community and General Secretary of the National Evangelical Synod of Syria and Lebanon, Rev. Joseph Kassab, along with church leaders, pastors, and representatives from evangelical schools, theological seminaries, the Biblical Federation in the Middle East, the Bible Society of Lebanon, and the Compassion Evangelical Society.
The event began with a word by Rev. Kassab, followed by a speech by Rev. Rabi Taleb, Secretary of the Media and Publishing Committee, highlighting the significance of this theological book series. Other speeches were held by Dr. George Sabra, former president of the Near East School of Theology, and Dr. Souraya Bachaalani, Director of the Center of Research in Religious Sciences at Saint Joseph University, Beirut. The ceremony was concluded with a closing speech by Rev. Dr. Issa Diab, President of the Theological Committee.
After the event, attendees gathered in the Rabieh Church Hall for a celebration, where the Media and Publishing Committee distributed copies of the books to the audience.
