Rev. Kassab Congratulated Al-Sharaa for his designation as President of Syria
The President of the Evangelical Community in Syria and Lebanon, Rev. Joseph Kassab, congratulated the President of the Syrian Arab Republic, Ahmad Al-Sharaa, on his designation to lead the country during this pivotal stage in Syria. He noted that the darkness of oppression has lifted, and a new dawn is beginning to rise over the nation.
Rev. Kassab noted that Al-Sharaa has an immense responsibility and a noble mission to lead a people exhausted by hardships, who now have the right to rise from the ruins of tyranny and start building a homeland that shines with justice, flourishes with freedom, and embraces all its citizens.
Addressing Al-Sharaa, he said: “As the priorities on your agenda are numerous due to Syria’s inherited reality, we pray that your presidency will serve as a bridge for the country to move from the constraints of crises to the expanse of stability, from the pain of the past to the hope of the future. May your leadership open the door to building a modern, civilized state where the rule of law is the standard, human dignity is the foundation, and security and peace are the ultimate goals.”
He concluded by expressing his hope that the Lord would grant President Al-Sharaa the wisdom to lead Syria into a new era filled with compassion, overshadowed by justice, and crowned with peace.
